 With a few rippling hops, the stone finally plopped into the previously still water and sank to the bottom. Jess reached down to pluck another pebble from the rocky beach beside her, examining the different colors and shape each stone possessed. Most were smooth, the edges constantly and lovingly caressed by the tide until the rough edges of their structure softened into beautiful little sentinels.
